Although I know it's pretty standard but the pickled cabbage situation is delightful. could literally just eat that all day. Was there for a little reunion gathering with six friends. Shareable plates and not a single thing we tried was bad. Food came out hot, and they introduced every dish as it came out. Staff were all lovely and attentive. I had the pearly river cocktail which divine and beautifully presented.
Solid experience with excellent food, superb service, and great ambience. Not a single issue for our group and our server was exceptionally helpful and guided us towards some great selections and just the right amount of dishes. The staff as a whole were very professional and we had a very good visit from beginning to end. The food here is really great and considering location, is actually a good value for what you pay. The food is flavorful and most of the dishes pack a great punch in terms of taste from the very first bite. The General Tso's chicken was my favorite dish full of delight and unlike any other version of the dish I've tried anywhere: great texture, full of greens, not too greasy, and complemented perfectly with a side of white rice. The shrimp toast is dangerously good and I'd definitely make sure to order this dish as a starter on every visit. The soup dumplings were a solid order, as were the cold sesame noodles, which were a big hit with the table. The one dish that I don't think I'd order again was the crispy garlic chicken, which I was most excited to try but found a bit dry and lacking in flavor compared to the rest of our dishes. Overall, a really great dining experience, especially for a family style dining group outing. I loved the charm of the space, which was subtle and intimate. The staff were very accommodating and made the experience all that more pleasant. One of the few dining experiences in Williamsburg that would draw me back in regularly and is worth the price.
I traveled to Brooklyn and this place is walking distance to the Penny. It looks like nothing from the outside but it is pretty nice jnside. The waitress was great - very friendly and made great recommendations once she knew this was my first time here. The food came out fast and hot. Soup dumplings were awesome. The salt and pepper tofu was good and the portion was large. I'd come back!
Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Value: 4/5 Soup dumplings (dine-in only, not available for takeout or delivery) are flavorful and big. Bigger than the ones at Joe's Shanghai or Three Times or others. The shrimp toast is excellent.
This is the spot! Kind staff. Wonderful ambience. And the food? My word, it's the best Chinese food in Brooklyn. The Soup Dumplings are worth the trip alone. But go for the dumplings and stay for everything else. It always hits! Everything is family style, which allows you to really get a taste of a few dishes. I always keep a favorite and try a couple of new ones each trip!
This place is gooooood and my photo does not do it justice. It has a divey feel and quirky layout, and I loved every second of it. The food was fabulous (though salty!) - we got shrimp toasts, pork soup dumplings, the pork ribs, cold sesame noodles, scallion pancakes, beans, and general Tso's. The soup dumplings and the ribs were the highlights, but everything was hot (or correctly cold in the case of the noodles) and delicious. Service was friendly and very attentive. Would go back here in a heartbeat.
Soooo good! Give me Chinese food from Kings Co Imperial and I'm in heaven; all my beloved favorites (below) melt in my mouth, and there's an incredible medley of subtle spicy and sweet, never numbing and greasy, just mouthwatering flavor, hearty and wholesome. Ingredients are top notch! As an ardent fan, I've been to the restaurant often enough to have tried everything on the menu, so here are some of my favorites. I'm obsessed with their: -Sesame Shrimp Toast: a delicious snack from my childhood. -Sichuan Cucumbers: hot and spicy. -Dry Fried Long Bean: Chinese soul food. -Kung Po Sweet Potato -Hong Kong Style Noodle: childhood favorite of mine. -Crispy Garlic Chicken - Craving Popeyes, this is the dish that you'll want more!
Alright yall! So I'm ALWAYS taking pics of every meal I eat, I love to document my food journey when I go out but let me tell you! I was so hungry by the time I arrived I forgot to take pics! The food was sooooooooo good I honestly forgot all about my phone and was just focused on the explosion of flavors I was experiencing! This was hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. The place is small but has little alleyways where more seating becomes available. The drinks are pretty good! I'd highly recommend the Shanghai Mule or a pot of Jasmine Tea! I'm not a repeat offender when it comes to restaurants but I will definitely be back!
This is a good restaurant but nothing was amazing that stood out to me. Got the xiao long bao, shrimp toast, and dan dan noodles. I felt the noodles used in Dan Dan were kinda spaghetti like and not what I'm used to in Dan Dan noodles. The shrimp toast was good not too fishy, the dumpling chili oil made it taste better than the actual sauces provided. The xiao long bao soup was a little thicker than I like but still pretty good. There was one waiter serving all the tables in the patio area so it was pretty slow. There's ample seattle on a Friday evening Overall would go again but nothing to rave about
